San Clemente Do It Yourself Plumbing

With the economy on a downswing, stock prices dropping, and all the other reasons, everyone is trying to save money. One way is to make the repair yourself. If you know how, have the tools, and can get the parts, most “Do It Yourself” repairs are a good idea. So, why not do it yourself?

If you need to patch a small hole in your drywall and then paint it, you can run down to Home Depot and pick up what you need. They will have the tools and the materials and – assuming it is not too big a hole – this is a pretty easy fix. The problem is that not everything is this easy.

If your valve under your sink is leaking (called an angle stop) and you want to replace it, you can get these parts – and the tools – at Home Depot also. But, how do you do it? What if you do it wrong and make a big mess that you have to clean up? What if you don’t quite get it right and it starts leaking – a lot – an hour after you leave for work in the morning? You could end up with a much bigger problem, or even a major disaster!
